Don’t worry, he’ll still be on Carlton’s list of possible winners in every race.

Someone should tell him he already has British Citizenship so doesn't need to go to those lengths.

I still can't get my head around Hugh Carthy disappearing, I hope he's ok.

I thought he might look to move into coaching, or back room staff for a pro team.
He must have a wealth of knowledge locked away in there.

I can find nothing out there about what he is doing or looking to do - I appreciate he is entitled to his privacy of course.

I worry for Hugh too although I disagree about him moving into management; he always seemed like a loner who wanted to do things his own way.

Hopefully he's just hiding behind a stack of empty butter pie trays rather than anything more sinister. I remember him mentioning that he was building his own house: maybe he's dedicating his time to that these days.

I didn't know he retired!

That sounds positive if he is building his own house, hopefully he earned enough in his time as a pro rider to be able to do that and live comfortably in the interim, until he decides what else he wants to do.

Cathy's win at tdS was mega pogtastic... He attacked pretty much from the gun and time trialed across 3 HC/cat 1 mountains solo.

IIRC Nairo and Yates dueled each other for GC behind. Edit I was wrong it was Egan and Rohan. Dennis ... A white guy and a South American.. half right

Surprised that win isn't mentioned more
