The problem with pants

I have an uncomfortable problem.

When it comes to gentleman's underwear, my preference is for close-fitting trunks. However, as I have large thighs, I find that the "legs" of my trunks always ride up and "bunch" in the gap twixt my legs and my boys. ;)

I need to know - is it just me, or is this a common affliction for cyclists? Is there such a thing as leg grippers for pants to stop these damn things riding up?

PS: tried briefs, felt like I was wearing a banana hammock...

Maybe he's not talking about on the bike.

In which case oxbob's advice is probably best.

scrunts under lycra is a faux pas…;)

Oh no, this is strictly a civilian problem. One only wears a nanometre-thick film of Assos-brand Ass Balm under cycling shorts.

I think it's got something to do with the waist/thigh ratio. If the pants fit my waist, the bunching occurs and it feels like the blood supply to my legs is being cut off!

ah, with you now. i must admit i sometimes find that jersey boxers which were close fitting when i put them on in the morning, become baggy during the course of the day.

must be the price paid for having muscly cyclists legs i suppose…

I had the same problem and reverted to what M&S call "briefs".
