Nice to see this old thread I started nearly 10 years ago is still ticking over.

I hope that it isn't withdrawn and scrapped any time soon... In fact, ever. šŸ‘

Oh, so you're to blame?

But seriously, we salute you šŸ™
I don't know whether to be surprised at the bike and train fan overlap, but it's nice to know I'm not alone!

Knaresborough viaduct is well known but the town also has a very high arched underbridge that presumably if built a few years later would have been a girder bridge. A touch narrow hence the traffic lights following improvements for pedestrians but certainly not one in danger of a vehicle strike. Halfpenny Lane underbridge - Bridge No.16

I'm not a full on cagoule wearing, thermos drinking railway nut, although I do find the railways interesting.

More pertinently, riding to the station and taking my folder on the train is one of lifes pleasures. In less than a year I've been as far sarf as Kent, and as far North as Edinburgh on the overnight sleeper. Wonderful fun.

The bottom one is a V200, copied and shrunk a bit to become the British Railways D800 Warship class. Because the mechanicals were the same size but the body was narrower, the engine compartment was not a place for fatties.

Sunday 9th

We were up in Edinburgh for a long weekend (22 posts)
Amelia & Sam (daughter & b/f) had gone into the centre of Edinburgh
Joanne & l went out my car, & were at North Queensferry

We were heading to ā€˜The Kelpiesā€™ & Falkirk Wheel afterwards, so instead of driving back into Edinburgh to pick them up, we got a train in, met them
Then, the 4 of us got the train back to North Queensferry, to continue to Falkirk

Mad Doug Biker

Just a damaged guy.
Location
Craggy Island
Just had this in the 'Post A Lie' thread:

Doug won't eat fast food. He mainly consumes snails.

Rockay has received a new job recently and a very important one too.
He has been hired by SNCF and RENFE to facilitate a new freight consist of snails between France and Spain for the consumer market.

He has only one request and that is to call the service, the 'ESCARGO'.

.ES, geddit?
