It’s not far to my chosen vantage point, less than half a mile, but due to time constraints, l drove round
There several others already there

One guy had a drone ready, but he didn’t have time to launch, as it was a few minutes early!!

What a glorious Station!!

I find the single track between two platforms rather strange, and can't think of a reason for it. Huge waste of platform space. It currently seems to be used in the Barrow-in-Furness direction only, with doors only opening on the station building side .

I presume, as a resort, it was a lot busier in its heyday, & this allowed rapid disembarkation from both side of the carriages?
