Today's power unit on the York - Peterborough leg...
During a recent break I had a go on the Rudyard Lake miniature railway. Anyone else been on it?
It'll have passed by now!Where did you find that out, it'll probably pass me so I'd like to go out and take some pics.
Took me a while to get the joke but I joined the dots… a sort of Rudyard Coupling if you see what I meanNo, but I hope they sold exceedingly good cakes!

Cross Country train 170101 from Bristol Temple Meads to Stanstead passing thru Stapleton Road this morning.
It may be one of the newly refreshed (repainted & modernised) part of the fleet - which would also explain a couple of units I couldn't identify in a siding outside Ely which were partly hidden by some old EMR stockWhat's the livery on the 170? Doesn't look like the usual Cross Country one.
I was once told every factual book has at least one error in so anyone copying it would be found out. Not sure if that is correct but it seems right with The Lost Railways of Yorkshire's West Riding: Harrogate and the North which in its second paragraph incredibly puts Harrogate in the North Riding, followed a couple of pages later by referring to the 1865 station at Arthington as remaining open; its been closed for 60 years.
