But it is wrong ! Biggest in England outside of London is Leeds.

Fasts are normally timetabled to depart a few minutes before an all stations service so as to arrive at their next station a few minutes after the previous all stations service

Eventually if it catches up with something, yes, sadly, unless there are enough lines to pass by.

The line between Freiburg and Karlsruhe is signalled for bi-direcional running to allow for this. I haven't seen it happen recently which makes me suspect there isn't enough capacity even for that any more: a new high speed parallel line is under construction.

Seriously though, someone suggested to me years ago to make a table out of a Pantograph, meaning it could be adjusted in height.

I strongly suspect, however, that not only would it be hideously heavy, it would also be bigger than you think! 😆
