Something I have been pondering for years is this.---
Is roasting foil porous?
The reason I ask is that the foil i put under the grill rack, or under the trivet, under a piece of meat in the oven, the fat still manages to get under the foil, even wide foil that covers the the whole grill pan or roasting tin.🤔
Answers, thoughts please.
Capillary action.

Yes, if it's less than 0.025mm thick. Isn't Google wonderful!

I’m hoping diet will help if I can stick with it. Eating my porridge at the moment with a generous spoonful of ground flaxseed. I’ve ditched the ready meals and become almost pescatarian as I like fish. Trying to eat more veggies too plus a couple of supplements that are supposed to help.

It’s absolutely gorgeous here. I did a lovely 8 mile loop along the river, up over the hill then back down and alongside the loch and back home.

After my heart attack, a result of high cholesterol, I was strongly encouraged to eat oily fish. I feel you're making a good choice.

I don’t like the sound of the most common side effects which seem to be muscle aches and headaches. Last thing I need. I will do my best to stick with healthy eating and maybe ask for another test after a decent period and see if it has made any difference.

People have a wide range of strong views on statins. I'm a great believer in following medical advice as against reaching a conclusion through one's own research. That's not a criticism, just a personal view.

I've been on a statin, Atorvastatin, for ten years without any side effects. As I have naturally high cholesterol I don't have much choice on this.

That’s a sensible strategy, but statins have, without a doubt, prevented many thousands of premature deaths. The risk of adverse effects is now relatively low- in the early days higher doses were routinely prescribed.
