Optical, prescription specs, i would like prescriptive wrap arounds but are beyond my means for now. Yesterday i opted for a short ride that included a killer climb up to a wind farm so managed a bit of a work out. :okay:

I was able to afford prescription wrap around sunglasses. Great piece of kit. Wore them a few weeks ago while in/on my mobility scooter.
If and when you can afford them it's worth pushing the boat out.
Mine were from erhh, not Specsavers, the other one. Oh yes, vision Express

How are you today? Has Molly recovered from her trauma?

I have some nice scars and thankfully she seems ok, although I can’t see how her head and neck can’t be a bit sore the way she was panicking.

So much for maybe getting a dry walk. I got soaked through.

There must be a big walking event on today. Not nice for them unless it dries up. Must google and see if I can find out what it is. At one point there was a sign with a couple of mileage markers saying 9 and 17 miles so must be at least 18 miles whatever it is. Portable toilets in the car park at the park too.

Morning.
And a damp and overcast one as well disappointingly. Due to join club ride but I might delay until it dries up a bit, I can cope in winter if it's wet but it just seems a bit pointless to head out on last day of spring in the rain. Forecast better later so I'll keep an eye and see.
In other news cats left a present of dead mouse on doormat. Better than a live one anyway which are harder to catch and throw out...

Went downstairs to the kitchen to find a frog sitting by the cupboards.
I presume Harry, our big tabby bought it in during the night. It was unharmed and released back under the bushes to continue doing frog things.

We've had frogs, bats, rats(live ones!), moles, lizards, a stoat and various mice over the years. Dead is bad enough but when they are alive it's a pain to catch and hopefully release unharmed. Live rats aren't fun though. Our neighbour keeps chickens so I think rats are attracted there for the feed.

18 mile walk is quite lengthy.
I used to enjoy 12 miler but don't think I ever did 18.

Any news on the possibility of a local parkrun Mo?

Some of the staff at my health centre are doing the Tough Mudder next month trying to raise £1500 supposedly to get it up and running. The problem around here is that it is usually the same few volunteers that end up doing stuff. I know myself, it’s tempting just to enter things and never think to give up time for volunteering occasionally.
