Hello strangers!
Finally return home later today after an almost month long adventure through the west coast of France & into Spain, with the 180km start to the Camino del Norte completed from Irun to Bilbao with a pal & his son (whilst our wives relaxed, awaiting any distress calls 🤣).
Massive blisters on the final hill, despite taking on far worse ones before 🤦‍♂️
Took the ship back from Santander: it was fine, we had a cabin, but it was enough to put us off big cruises in our near future 🤷‍♂️

A bit of cycle history spotting in La Roche Bernard, finding the remains of the bridge and the road later in town from Ned Boulting’s findings on 1923…see about 1’ 25” onwards here!

So….did I miss anything?
This week will mostly be washing & packing…off to the IOW festival with the offspring & partners next week. It’s all go 😱

Glorious one it is to.
Cat sick cleaned up, tea delivered to wife, towels in the wash and breakfast on the go along with coffee of course in readiness for a good ride. Off on one of my new favourites routes with a cafe stop mid way.

Wednesday is my "day off." Im pajn free after a two day migraine so I'll chill with a book and a nice snooze later.

Mini D going to Belgium with the school next week so I've a meeting at the school 1800hrs to discuss logistics.

Email has dropped in saying I've won a prize on the National Lottery. Seeing as it was a record £208M Euros jackpot the hope was there.

Nah, £3.50 which I think is the lowest amount possible to win. Just about cover cost of a coffee later.

Just stood up but must have been sitting awkwardly and my right leg was totally dead.
Fortunately I was close to the sette otherwise I would have been face down on the carpet.

House tidy. Music practiced. Done some parish council admin. Contemplating lunch.

My daughter has just brought me a bowl of home made pea and ham soup.
Very nice it is.

Just had the results from my eye screening, I'm good to go.
Lunch today was half a chicken and stuffing pie, gravy carrotts and spinch,
I could only eat half the pie as it was large, so I'll have that tomorrow with chips and pickles

A big bowl of salad for me. I crumbled a couple of falafels over the top as they needed using by today. We get IOW tomatoes from the greengrocer up the road, sublime.
Saturday is Harry Paye day in Poole, with lots of Pirate / nautical stuff going on at the quay and surrounding areas. Planning to pop down I is, me hearties...aaarr 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️
