Flat white is my preferred brew too but I was told that it was a capucino without the chocolate sprinkled on top.
Just find another coffee shop without pretentious owners!

I think you missed the joke. The point is the place has no pretentions.

There is a difference between a cappuccino and a flat white, which I believe originated in Australia. In the UK the former is a large single shot espresso made with plenty of milk, the later a small double shot drink with only a little milk.

If I order a flat white and get asked "large or small?" I know I'm not getting a flat white. 🤣 It could be our slightly somewhat warped sense of humour.

Anyway coffee and England footballers aside we have a lovely day dawning which is just as well. #1 a day #3SP are with us all day. Their parents requested this week was shifted from Tuesday to Thursday. Heavy rain and strong winds forecast from 4.00pm. Our plan is to deliver them home around 4.30pm and head straight to Manchester. We're eating out at Bella Italia before watching Dear England.

There's a theme running........Wednesday coffee and football, Thursday eat out Italian and football.......🤣🤣

I must get a shift on. After yesterday's ride I'm very stiff, stretches are needed to get this old body going again.

A little bimble done. Just 23 miles at a very modest 12.4mph, but it’s faster than sitting on the couch.

Just finished my porridge. Sliced banana and a handful of dried cranberries in it this morning. Very nice.

Fresh rhubarb from the garden & a chopped apple from Tesco.
I'm trying Oats for the topping for the first time and will report back later on the results.

Thanks for that explanation but here in Oz flat whites come in all sizes.

I order an Americano and they invariably ask, "would you like milk with that?"

It wouldn't be an Americano if you put milk in it you fool!

Wet overnight and just started heavy shower again. Inside stuff today then. On ride yesterday the bike was making an annoying clicking so I'll be investigating that. Normally it's really quiet so any noise stands out and is annoying.
