Off to Minehead for a Tesco shop this morning - dropping in to see our best mates - it's been a week since she had her hip replacement. Got to have my 2nd shingles jab on the way back.

Bit overcast but dry and forecast to be OK.
Tip to take a load of hedge cuttings, washing out then a ride later is the plan so far.

Took the weekend St Vincent de Paul donations to the Post Office for banking. All the local bank branches have closed but the Post Office acts as agent for most of the Banks. The Post Offices are all franchises of Australia Post. Unusually there was a $100 bill in the take as well as a couple of the usual $50 notes. The P O has a new scanner for $100 and $50 bills as allegedly Australia is "flooded" with counterfeits. The crims making hay while the sun still shines before everyone goes on line with their payments.

That was a much more comfortable walk as it’s really feeling quite fresh this morning. Suits me much better.

Need a few things from the supermarket so I’ll wander round after breakfast.

I see the schools finish up this Thursday.

Good morning folks. Disappointing to have been out bid on the bike I was looking at. It was a last second autobid by the look of it. A 24" Frog bike for granddaughter's birthday in August. Went for about £235 in the end. There's a fair bit of BSO out there, but she's moving up from a smaller Frog, so well thought out for younger riders.
The search continues, if there's nothing then we will look at new.

looks windy out there but no rain in sight

looking at the trees it looks like a ride might be doubtful
If I change my mind it would have to be a "ride into the wind on the way out" sort of thing

looks like it'll be dry all day and the wind will slacken later on
according to the Met Office anyway

Busy morning so far.... I've cleaned the bottom filter on the washing machine, as it'd just run a drum-clean cycle; whirlygig erected, too, as MrsPete will soon be hanging some washing out.
Coffee time is in order now 👍

I went to a café once and ordered some soup.. The chap taking the order asking if i wanted Oasis soup or just as it is.
I asked what the difference was with the Oasis soup.
He said you get a roll with it.... 👍

Good morning. The rain has stopped but we still have 25+ winds gusting to 40ish. This is based on my observations of the trees when compared to the Met Office app. Much experience of this.

I suddenly felt sleepy at 4.30 and dropped off till 8.00. Good news. It's now time for a shower and run round with the hoover. PT appointment at 1.00pm and that's about it.

Windy here but lovely and sunny now.
Busy so far, washing on and about to be put out. Car loaded up with ridiculous amount of hedge clippings etc and dropped off at tip. Dishwasher emptied then refilled, local shop for milk and now just having my first coffee and porridge. Phew.
And it's only 09:30.

I have an anemometer on garage and currently a steady 20mph and gusting to 30. Ride later could be a challenge but at least it's a lovely day.

Not been for my walk as its been raining on and off all morning and it's quite dark as I type.
I don't enjoy getting wet.

I decided to be a brave little soldier so donned my shower proof fleece and off I went.
It's windier than a windy thing but it stayed dry so that was a bonus.
