Good luck with whatever that is, Dave. Blue badge is pretty easy and there's usually plenty of good signage. I don't know the rules these days but in years gone by one could park on a single or double in most, but not, all places.

That is what I thought, but not so.
If there is also a small yellow stripe on the kerb then blue badge CANNOT park there at any time.
Unfortunately town centre has those stripes virtually everywhere eg I cannot get to specsavers in town as EVERY kerb for 100s of yards has them.

I think you can park on double yellows as long as you are not causing an obstruction.

Not so, see my reply to PaulSB.

Good day all.
Another good sleep has been enjoyed.
My weather app shows rain from 10.
2 appointments today. 1st one is a haircut at 10.30.
Next I have to go into town. Not been there for many months and I have no idea about blue badge parking. It's a 'must go' visit and will make Paul's 112 miler seem trivial  ....I will bore you with details if it all works out OK.
See you all later.

What does "town" mean??
My wife grew up in Prescot - and to her it always meant St Helens
But her nieces and nephews - and her son - grew up calling Liverpool "town"
to us now it is Widnes - which is 5 minutes away by car

Anyway - hope it goes well
especially the haircut - which I don;t like
every time I go I sit down and some old bald bloke jumps in front of the mirror - no idea who he is!
Only time I actually ever look at a mirror!

Just come back from the GP for an asthma review

no real reason for it other than it was well overdue
She said she had never done one before where someone scored 20/20
but this time of year is generally good
I have been riding around a fair bit, the hayfever is not affecting me too much due to teh tablets and type of pollen - and I don;t have a cold etc
if she had done the review a few months ago most of the question would have had a much different answer

she then noticed I was missing my shingles jab - so we did that - which hurt!

so I have got my wife to book in for hers
if my arm hurts she can have it too!!!!

Good question.
Town for me/us is Warrington centre.
When I lived on the Wirral town was Liverpool which is strange as its a city  .

Strange that the older people seem to relate "town" to the local large place
but younger ones seem to relate it to Liverpool
no idea if this is normal in other areas!

when I was growing up (Moreton on the Wirral as you know) the term was never used - we always referred to either Birkenhead or Liverpool specifically

It may just be a 'very' local expression ie among family members.
Like you I lived in Moreton but to our family town was Liverpool.

I've bought a new computer chair it's genuine fake leather, but it's nice
