Morning all
Pottering day today.

Morning all
Pottering day today.
Thankyou Mrs Trellis.
As my BIL says, “it’s my fault even if I wasn’t in the room at the time”
Hang on, I think you might be on to something here. If I recall correctly Mrs Trellis is from North Wales, perhaps that's Welshies nom de plume, and when not busy badgering Mr WD or ironing her bloomers she writes letters of complaint to ISIHAC 🤔
I'd have held onto them all, and in the unlikely event of a visit, handed their rubbish back to their "agents" on the day.Morning, been up ages but couldn't be arsed to post as nothing happens round here.
Had another threatening letter from the BBC, I filed it in the shredder.
Well that was a damn sight more difficult than it needed to be!!
just been cleaning the drain and U-bend for the downstair loo wash basin
did the upstairs one yesterday and they were nearly totally gunged up with gooey gunk
so though I had better do this one
well - what a faff
seems like whoever put the u-bend in and cupboard together had a selection of bits of plastic pipe bits left over and just used them
rather than using bits of the right length
and put the shelf in - then put the u-bend in
as a result the shelf was 1 mm above the shelf
hence the u-bend would not come out at all without removing the shelf
which was put in with screwed on tiny brackets that could have gone at any height
as a result the whole thing had to be dismantled
and the pipes were just about able to be pushed into place - when making them the right length would have been easier
the down pipe from the sink was right down into the bottom of the u-bend when it is the same as the upstairs ones and they are all clearly designed to just go into the top
Ok OK OK - I could have shortened them
but that would have involved going out to the shed and getting the saw and workbench out and set up
although by the end I was wishing I had done that
and it was such a fiddle getting all the pipes in teh right place and in the right position
clealy put in by someone who knew they would never need to clean it!!!
That sounds a right faff! My easy DIY earlier consisted of fitting a new rear wiper blade to the car as the rubber was coming away and it’s due an MOT on the 19th. I wasn’t totally sure how it fitted but good old Youtube came to the rescue.
Good Point
I wonder what her address is
could it be

All jobs (nearly) done. Dark wash is drying so will need folding/hanging/stuffing in drawers.
Lunch, I think, will be curry (from a can), rice and chips.
Just enjoying a cordial drink while watching women's golf.
If he spoke to a stranger he can't be from London.........Back home. Had some random chap in the Tottenham Court Road shout, "I love your shirt" at me.
