As reported earlier I was up at stupid O'clock. Sat listening toTony Blackburn when, at 07.15 I went very tired. So off to bed I went and WoW, a really deep 2 hours sleep.
Plan........
Shower and shave.
Put dark washing in the machine.
Then I will go for a walk (forecast has changed for the better).

:hello:Morning, been up ages but couldn't be arsed to post as nothing happens round here.
Had another threatening letter from the BBC, I filed it in the shredder.
I'd have held onto them all, and in the unlikely event of a visit, handed their rubbish back to their "agents" on the day.
Capturing it on camera as proof.

Well that was a damn sight more difficult than it needed to be!!

just been cleaning the drain and U-bend for the downstair loo wash basin
did the upstairs one yesterday and they were nearly totally gunged up with gooey gunk

so though I had better do this one

well - what a faff

seems like whoever put the u-bend in and cupboard together had a selection of bits of plastic pipe bits left over and just used them
rather than using bits of the right length

and put the shelf in - then put the u-bend in

as a result the shelf was 1 mm above the shelf
hence the u-bend would not come out at all without removing the shelf
which was put in with screwed on tiny brackets that could have gone at any height

as a result the whole thing had to be dismantled
and the pipes were just about able to be pushed into place - when making them the right length would have been easier
the down pipe from the sink was right down into the bottom of the u-bend when it is the same as the upstairs ones and they are all clearly designed to just go into the top

Ok OK OK - I could have shortened them
but that would have involved going out to the shed and getting the saw and workbench out and set up
although by the end I was wishing I had done that

and it was such a fiddle getting all the pipes in teh right place and in the right position

clealy put in by someone who knew they would never need to clean it!!!

That sounds a right faff! My easy DIY earlier consisted of fitting a new rear wiper blade to the car as the rubber was coming away and it’s due an MOT on the 19th. I wasn’t totally sure how it fitted but good old Youtube came to the rescue.

All jobs (nearly) done. Dark wash is drying so will need folding/hanging/stuffing in drawers.
Lunch, I think, will be curry (from a can), rice and chips.
Just enjoying a cordial drink while watching women's golf.
