Mrs P likes Koppaberg alcohol free cider. I was despatched to Sainsbury's to buy some.

At the self-service check out I had to wait 4-5 minutes for someone to arrive to do the age verification.

"Really??" says Paul

The look on her face said it all

It is infuriating, eh.
However, with a daughter who works for Diageo….I can explain that this is because they cannot guarantee it is absolutely zero %
(indeed, most ‘zero’ drinks are 0.5% or similar)

This week is mostly garden fun and games….warmed up the electric chainsaw on a few limbs just now (not mine, I am pleased to report 😜)

Went for a ride this afternoon and ran into the neighbour at some traffic lights when nearly back

She had been on a walk into Runcorn
She was very impressed when she saw the mileometer on my bike saying 23 miles
I did point out that it is an ebike but she was still impressed

sometimes I forget that non cyclists see that sort of mileage as a long ride
I get used to super fit people like Mo doing 50 odd miles

When I was at work, for the last 14 years my commute was just over 16 miles each way. Most colleagues thought I was super human.
When I tried to explain that on a summers evening our group would do 50+ they thought we were crazy, and incredulous that on a Sunday when not working we would be pushing 100 miles.

Used to do the 181/2 miles into Leeds, and being classed as nuts for doing it.
Sanity questioned when I said I'd cycle in Christmas Day/New Years Day, even if freezing or snowing.
Got me out of having to do either. We'd all to do one of the two days, all except me.
