We have had very heavy rain which I think has just stopped.
My chicken tagliatelle was very nice.

I've been pondering the alert thingy. How many of you have tried sending a text on New Year's Eve around midnight? Just about impossible as the entire population is texting at once.

How then will the entire population receive a text at 3.00 on the dot?

They have subbed the job out to China. There are countless 1000's of little chinese people** typing away right now.
**I was going to say "with slanty eyes" but then you might mistake me for royalty.

The cottage we are staying in only has terrestrial TV. Over the four days we've been here I've realised how much shite there is on both BBC and ITV. We usually record or watch terrestrial TV which is quite selectuve. We also have Netflix and Prime.

Without this facility the only choice one has is whatever is showing on each channel. Most of it is cr@p.

I came to that conclusion over 12 years ago.

We long ago bailed out of T-TV. It's almost 100% dross.

Saved money, too.

We've had a wander from Amble to Warkworth and back. About five miles. It's a good walk apart from the tarmac section that runs beside the main road. I find walking on tarmac very tiring.

I'm going to have a brew and then fall asleep in the armchair. 😴😴
I find the best surface for running or walking is pine needles, there were plenty underfoot on one section of this mornings Great North Run inspired 5k jog. ( I was looking out for Mo too, sad to see Ailish McColgan couldn't quite hold it together)
