Windows cleaned inside and out
Flu jab jabbed.
Contemplating what's next for rest of day.

I have approx 15 plus a full glass conservatory, a double sliding patio door and a glass front door.
I pay a guy £15 every 2 weeks. He uses a pole thingy and does a very thorough job.
Money well spent in my case.

We probably have more if you count each bit as a separate window - but at least that number

many years ago - about 13-14?? - a firm came round and offered to clean them for £10 so I said yes

then a few years later he decided to sack some of his workers and hire some more for cheap (do I hear someone muttering "minimum wage" and "illegal immigrants"???)
anyway - the bloke that was actually doing mine every month decided to start his own company and went round knocking on the doors of the places he had been doing
He is a nice bloke - I see him sometimes when riding around the canals - and so I said I would switch to him

he is still doing it all for £10

he really should increase the price but he has not as yet - I actually feel I should suggest it to him but........

anyway - they initially used the old ladder and bucket system but switched to the pole one a while ago

they do a damn good job so I stick with them

Walked into Poole to arrange an eye test. Lady looked at the computer and said I'm due for a test in December so I will hang on until then. While we were in Poole we popped in to Big ASDA and picked up a sandwich toaster. The ASDA own brand George was very highly rated so we splashed out £15. Heading to the bus station we spotted a sign outside Costa advertising Coffee and a Toastie for £6.50. Fired the machine up as soon as we got home, that's 2xToasties and 2 x coffees so it's almost paid for itself already 😁

I don't use Costa (or any other coffee shop) but £6.50 seems very cheap.
I enjoy a toasties. Cheese, ham and tomato are a favourite.

Went to the pic's to see Apprentice last year and it was good. Fascinating to see what events shaped the younger man.
Yes, I think it helped to explain some of what is happening today. I was also left with the question did very wealthy people identify DT as someone who could be manipulated in to forming an ambition to become POTUS? The same manipulation could then be used to further their own aims.

Good morning all.
A bright but windy start to the day here.
All the usual things to do today, plus I am meeting our Son at lunchtime for a burrito.
MrsP is out with our Daughter shopping for something or other.

Is that the Shuttleworth collection at Old Warden in Bedfordshire?
They have some really good stuff there. Is it a flying day?

Sorry, missed this!
Yes - it was the last race day of the year. A pal is a member, so 3 of us joined him.
A fantastic day, ending with the Battle of Britain Lancaster with 2 Spitfire escorts doing a display - it's last before major work that won't see it fly again until 2027.
Old cars, motorbikes & a load of planes.
A bit too windy for some of their really old ones, but a packed day from when we got there about 09:30 until we left after 6pm!
Many, many photos.
We will return - first time I've been!

Barnet,
Good morning all.
Still dark out there at the moment.
Sainsbury's are delivering the weekly goodies between 9 and 10then I'll be out with Millie for a long walk that may well include a pit stop at the Mitre for a pint or two of sustenance on the way home.
I have just purchased a fleece coat for Millie as the hair on her back has not grown back after her treatment several months back.
With winter coming on, and as she is now 14 years old even a Border Collie needs a bit of help now and then.

Good morning. t's very quiet out which makes me think we have benign weather today. I was nackered last night and have slept very well, 7+ hours that's good for me. Not much on today. #3SP for the day followed by a spin class tonight. That is it, the sum total of today's excitements. #3 is great, she's only ten months, always happy and sunny and so a very easy child to mind. We will eat, sleep, roll around on the floor and go for a walk.............and yes, Granddad will be nackered at the end!
