Good morning all.
Still dark out there at the moment.
Sainsbury's are delivering the weekly goodies between 9 and 10then I'll be out with Millie for a long walk that may well include a pit stop at the Mitre for a pint or two of sustenance on the way home.
I have just purchased a fleece coat for Millie as the hair on her back has not grown back after her treatment several months back.
With winter coming on, and as she is now 14 years old even a Border Collie needs a bit of help now and then.

Good morning folks, veg box has already been delivered, we've got walking group this morning followed by a trip to Toby Carvery with friends. I think there's a discount voucher involved, and as Mrs Tkk and myself just have the veggies it's not at all expensive ( apart from the Beer )

' Morning one and all.
Good job I set the alarm as I had drifted into a deep sleep.
Off to the hospital audio dept to see if my present hearing aid can be saved (I have my doubts).
Immediately after that I go to a 'hub' for a blood test. I don't faint with the needle now but I do not enjoy it.

Weather......very mixed with rain on the way.

Mornng.
Bit damp out on the ground which is a slight disappointment as plannng a ride, hopefully dry up next hour or so as no rain forecast.
Other than that, I'll probably make a check list ready for Friday as we're back out to Mallorca for a week again. This time taking my own bike as I've bought a bike box so need to make sure I don't forget something crucial!

Yes, I think it helped to explain some of what is happening today. I was also left with the question did very wealthy people identify DT as someone who could be manipulated in to forming an ambition to become POTUS? The same manipulation could then be used to further their own aims.

Looked at the first two episodes of "The Donald Trump Show "on Channel 4 yesterday........ My Goodness !! .. Shocking

Probably said this before but for a number of reasons I had a wonderful cycling holiday in Mallorca (I still call it Majorca).
Based in Pollenca.....Great seafront hotel.
Myself and a good mate.
Good cycling, good food, good memories.
A little story. Keep in mind I was never a long distance cyclist so we would do, maybe, 50 milers each day, combined with sightseeing.
One day we had just completed 55 miles and were enjoying a pint in the Red Rum (well known to Brits) when along came a group of 'proper' cyclists ie club kit etc (and they were also our age). One of them was asking about our ride and was truly gobsmacked when I mentioned 55 miles........they only managed 35.
35 is just a warm up to Chorley Paul and others.
it made me feel quite good.

I don't do mega miles either home or abroad. For me a longish ride would be 50 miles or so but as with everything it's context. 50 miles on a flat route is easy, 50 miles with 5000ft climbing not so much! I've got several routes planned for trip(I've been quite a few times so know the area reasonably well) ranging from 30-80 miles. The 80 mile route has 8000ft climbing so that'll be a big day out for me.

Update on todays exciting news.
They fixed my hearing aid.....it works well so please type gently  .
As I have said, I had a blood test booked at a 'hub' which is nearer to me and parking is easier. When I arranged it I didn't know I would have to go to the main hospital (audio dept). It turns out the their 'bloods' dept was close to the audio.......so I asked the question and bingo !.....a success all round.
