We are being invaded by ladybirds. Suddenly hundreds are swarming all over the outside of the house.

Evenin folks :okay: i dug a gurt big hole today...for a blueberry. They really dont like a alkaline soil so went down about 30 inches inserted a poly lined box and filled it with a peat, compost mix, mulched it thickly and should grow well. Ive become a fan of blueberries as they seem not to attract many pests and fruit for quite a long period. I wander out in the morning and gather a good handful to add to a yoghurt/walnut/banana/cranberry mix [superfood] and i will surely live to a hundred and ten!

For the last three Friday nights we have watched the Night at the Museum series on free to air TV. Quite humourous.

I love blueberries. One of the lower carb fruits. I had a steak for tea last night followed by Greek yoghurt and blueberries. Trying to cut the carbs a bit again.

Looks like another nice day here. The car could do with a run so I might go through to Comrie and walk there this morning.

I did similar two or three years ago. Our granddaughter loves blueberries and it was fun for her to pick them for her breakfast. I didn't make the hole as deep as you have and I now constantly mulch to maintain the local soil acidity. It's odd because we have Rhododendron ponticum growing all around the village but most other ericaceous plants don't last long.

Barnet,
Good morning all, it's still dark out there.
I'm listening to Tony Blackburn on the radio and drinking my first mug of tea :cuppa:
I'll cycle up to the market for some fruit and veg, and then settle down to watch the race of the falling leaves from Lombardy. :bicycle:
Tonight we have been invited to our friends place, they are cooking and normally out on a great spread. :hungry:

Good morning. Still, sunny and 14⁰ is forecast so I'm heading out for a club ride. There are three rides, I've opted for the middle paced one. I suspect some of the faster lads will jump on this, their ride would be at least +2 mph faster but includes a major top 100 climb. I think they'll want to dodge that. This can lead to tension, faster riders tend to try and pull the group to their pace rather than drop to the group's pace. When you get grumpy old buggers on the ride words can be muttered.

Yesterday was horrid. It was Mrs P's treatment which went well. Paul rushed around doing all the local in town jobs, all went OK. I have a cold and when I got home was overwhelmed with tiredness so I took to my bed. Then it was the whist drive. First prize was £10 shared between the partners, the booby prize was a large bar of chocolate..........................fortunately I like chocolate. ^_^
