Well, that's three of you so far who don't cycle anymore so , amongst us retirees, who else have stopped cycling?
I , for one, still do and don't intend to stop in the near future.
I do as often as possible though circumstances limit my time. Until 18 months ago I would ride average 150 miles a week. Mrs P was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer, this plus grandparenting and other responsibilities now limit this to one 60 - 70 miler a week. In a good week I get two of these.

I think it’s the increase in traffic around here that’s one of the contributing factors for my decline in cycling. Usually once I get clear of the town and busier roads I feel happier. Maybe I need to move.

Must be hard looking after Mrs B and still managing to ride

Good morning from a grey Dorset. Very little sun yesterday but the solar panels still contributed a bit to the heating. I went for an early evening walk yesterday and was listening to a series of BBCpodcasts about scammers and the techniques that they use, a real eye opener as to how sophisticated some of the scams are, with some great advice on how to spot them. Today's mission is to wander over the Heath in search of a brook that my outstanding new map app shows me is there, but I have never seen it. With gps I should be able to nail it down to within a few metres🤞

Morning folks :okay: i tend to ride on alternate days to rest the old legs. I rarely ride under 30 miles and usually 35- 48 but for me its all about terrain rather than distance. Theres some wicked hills in my neck of the woods and if i can stomp up them in 10 years time thats good enough for me. Im not bothered trying to do extra long distances, i just want to maintain a good level of fitness whilst avoiding injury/overdoing it. :okay:
