Good morning from a grey Dorset. Very little sun yesterday but the solar panels still contributed a bit to the heating. I went for an early evening walk yesterday and was listening to a series of BBCpodcasts about scammers and the techniques that they use, a real eye opener as to how sophisticated some of the scams are, with some great advice on how to spot them. Today's mission is to wander over the Heath in search of a brook that my outstanding new map app shows me is there, but I have never seen it. With gps I should be able to nail it down to within a few metres🤞
Replying to myself, I found " Broadwork Brook ", dried up at the moment and just off one of the main tracks on the heath. As I was jogging slowly uphill I thought I could hear hooves, looked behind me and there were two ladies on ponies cantering towards me. I moved to stand at the side of the track and they called out a " thank you " as they approached. This inspired me to doff my cap and bow as they cantered past which caused much laughter.
