Heavy rain which has stopped but blowing a gale now.
Might be a day to plot routes and load onto Wahoo ready for next week.
Spot of vacuuming, inside chores etc.

I have just ordered a treadmill.
Not as sophisticated as some on here own but it should help my old legs over the winter.

A BIIIG sleep has been slept.
In bed just after 10 and re-awoke at 08.45.
Only thing to do is the usual pub lunch....if my friend is up for it. TBH I am not fussed as I'm still half asleep.

I've just started up my Zwift subscription again now that the weather is on the turn. I feel I have let my fitness slip over the last few years apart from walking. Must try harder!

Very grim out the window today, ducks have taken cover for the day, wind howling and chucking it down with rain. I don't suppose I'll see any river traffic going by today.

Good morning. It's bright and dry which is excellent news. I need to plant my garlic and shallots so this morning looks like the chance.

It's u3a film club this afternoon. I'm showing The Last Bus and hoping for a good turn out. Numbers vary tremendously and dropped off considerably last spring. If we don't get decent numbers today and November I'll knock it on the head.

Today is coffee and a bit of snagging around the boat, I have handles to put on doors a d finish off the homemade sofa type affair in readying for the plush cushions for it arriving on Saturday. I found a company that cuts and covers mattresses to fit odd sizes at very good prices and something I couldn't make myself.

Hospital visit today

Gastro doctor - I presume about the Coeliac Disease
not sure what he/she wants to talk about/do as it just says I have an appointment
but as they don't have a recent blood test of the relevant bits then I am not sure what they can determine

so it could be a 10 minute chat
or a "go there and do this"
"now go there and do this"
"now wait and talk to the doctor"

anyway - we shall see
