Just been to Aldi. Successful apart from them not having any kitchen foil, just a sad empty space where it should be.
Coming back along the main road i got great pleasure seeing a Merc coming the other way......he thought the car in front wasn't going fast enough (I estimate it was doing at least 30) so he overtook on this busy main road, only to find himself facing a red light for road works. It had just turned red so he would be there a while ^_^

So I see. Says he was in his 50s so not exactly old and doddery. Strange.

I dunno. You've not me me yet!

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Serious question.....why do you drop a prescription AT the quacks ? Surely it's the quack that gives you the prescription.

It's a repeat prescription for Mr WD and the bin. We drop them in at the end of the month and pick the tablets up a few days later. They put the repeat prescription in with the tablets ready for next month

I wondered that. I order my monthly repeat online direct from the pharmacy. If I visit the surgery for something else the GP sends the prescription electronically to the chemist. I get a text when it's ready. This is rural Lancashire.

We don't go to the chemist. It's all done in house at the surgery. Mr WD says its too much of a faff to fill in the form at the surgery so that's that. In other words it's too much hassle for him to do it so he won't bother. I have offered to do it, but he is a total luddite.

Satisfying isn't it. On the M65 this morning on a three lane uphill section I was doing 60/65 in the middle lane overtaking an HGV. I watched a Quashqai hurtling up the outside lane, suddenly pull in behind me without slowing. He clearly hadn't seen me and swerved out again at high speed.

About a mile off the motorway I pulled up behind him at a red light before roadworks. I badly wanted to get out and have a word. I didn't.

Afternoon folks :okay: Got beat by a hill today and had to dismount  havent done that for a while...some years in fact but it was a super steep ,super long, remorseless, sob ******d of a climb. I started up it in too high a gear so burnt myself out, a common beginners mistake apparently [red face emoji]. Like Arnie i'll be back as its a great training hill! ^_^

Usually, in my experience damage to windscreen does not affect NCD.

Thanks
I went to Halfords after I dropped the grandkids off and the bloke there came and had a good look

He said that it is perfectly safe and all he could do is basically flatten it out with a dab of resin
and paying £45 for that is a waste of money
so just keep an eye on it but unless it gets hit again in the same place then it will be fine

which is great we can ignore it

however, if anyone has opinions then I would be grateful to hear them

thanks

Watch out with winter coming.. Iced screen defrosted with warm heat can play havoc with laminated screens.

Difficult for anyone to opine without seeing it.
I had a chip fixed with the magic stuff. Excellent and it cost very little.
We have a member called @screenman who could advise..... but alas he fell in love and has not been seen for ages.
I will see if I can pm him
