Plover Close in Minehead - it gets bigger every year!

I passed on of that type this morning when I was lost in Runcorn (SatNav problems!!)

When I lived in Bangor there was a house on the Estate very near ours that people used to travel to see

It was VERY full of decorations and effects

to be fair it was very well done

So…the root canal: unbelievably fine!
Lovely dentist and assistant did a fab job: I was there almost an hour and a half. Honestly so serene I could have dozed off: what was I worried about 🤣
Although at one point their radio did play the Mariah Carey Christmas song, & I thought “pffft, it isn’t December yet” 🤪

Ah, what am I saying: I put our outside lights up yesterday 👀
Well, we are away from Weds & I need to be able to join the switch-on with our pals over the road…the power of Tapo plugs will let me do that 🎄

The BBC is down 1.1 billion yet today they still send me a letter
OK they must get a cheap rate from the post office, but it still must
cost at least 50p......and that is your money they are wasting !!!.
I think the BBC will ask the government to put it on council tax
then we will all have to pay if we like it or not, as I can't see
a subscription working as more people will stop paying.

Same here. They bleat about being hard up for cash but can afford to inundate me with Threat-O-Grams and even paid to send someone round the other week. What a waste of precious resources.

If they do nothing then no-one will pay

they have the stats for how many people pay and whether or not a letter result in a payment soon after

AND - politically if they stop sending them out then the politicians would say they are not doing their best to collect the fee

so they have to send the letters out

Personally I think the licence fee is a crazy system that is one of those "It was a good idea when it started but not it doesn’t make sense" things

but any other system - such as a subscription - would make it "Not the BBC we know and love"

so I like it as it is - but that is irrelevant as it is not a sustainable long term future funding model

just don’t ask me to come up with a better one that would work
