I have a day out with granddaughter, 17, today. We might hunt out some vinyl LP's in a very cluttered shop I know.

Good morning, just been watching the overnight episodes of Hedgehog TV. Lots of action with nest maintenance and visits to the feeding station🦔.
Today it's walking group and planning for a DIY project. In other news our friend had a bit of a struggle completing Sunday's Wimborne 10 run. He knew something wasn't right so went to see the Doctor yesterday. Straight into hospital while they sort out his heart, he had a procedure where they stop/restart the heart about 10 years ago and they are planning to do something similar ( sounds a bit like " have you tried switching it off and on again " but I expect it's a bit more complicated than that.

Bruce walked. Housework done early.

No brekkie as no time. In any case its a casting blood test.

Quickly catch my breath then off out to docs in about 20 mins.

Online meeting with our MP tonight, part of my parish councillor duties.

You should demand to fly 1st class to Brazil & a 4,, no,, 5🌟 hotel before you speak to him/her!
Accept nothing less!

A council question for you.
In your council job, do you get involved in awarding grants for charitable works ?
Background to that question is.......
I have mentioned that my house backs onto a 'country park' which includes woodland and small ponds. It DID include a lot more until a London outfit got the OK to build 1200 houses on it.
This has decimated the wildlife eg in my garden I used to get regular visits from.....
Woodpeckers, Jay, Nuthatch, Tree Creeper, Siskins, Greenfinch just others. I just don't see them now.
Anyway........a group was formed to protect and improve what is left. Simple things but hard work eg litter picking, cutting back overgrown vegetation and pressuring the council to do basic things like removing dumped waste and repairing 2 wooden bridges.
The group is now registered, has a committee, bank account and a mandate for targets etc.
The group applied for a grant with specified aims including a covered/lockable notice board, 25 saplings to plant and banners to tell the locals what is happening to THIER park.
Anyway.......a few days ago we were notified that the application has been successful (not megabucks but a great help).
Sorry to be long winded but ideas from yourself and others would be welcome.

I'd better make the most of today as it looks like wall to wall rain for the following 10 days! :rain:
