What is it with delivery drivers?
I've had 3 parcels delivered to our annexe door (which isn't numbered) this week; none of them for us.
I've watched the guy on cctv. He jumps out of his van, walks briskly up our drive, past our neighbours front door, opens our gate and dumps the parcel outside our annexe.
Our houses are clearly numbered.
Makes no sense.

Yellow is our front door, red is neighbours, blue is where parcels are left.
I've had a sign made up saying ' No deliveries through gate' to put on the 5 bar; let's see if that works!
Lunching at the Railway Inn today.

Grey, wet, windy. The usual.
Crap sleep but my fault for having that second glass of vino collapso. The fifth probably didn't help either.
Job for today is sort out toilet cistern in En suite. Ball valve not working properly.

Some time this morning I went of FaceBook and made a rather sarcastic comment (sorry - I do that) on the topic of trickle down economics and how the richest people in the USA getting richer might possibly not be a good thing
which may be right or wrong - that is not for this forum

and someone responded saying that last year the USA economy created 1 million millionaires EVERY DAY

now I didn;t check that - but I did reply saying how brilliant - and that this means that everyone in the USA is now a millionaire


Why are people so dumb!

Morning all. Bad sleep for me as the cold has left me with a hacking cough.... and it hurts.

Morning folks off for a spin in a while, bit murky out there but could be worse. Have a contender for the worse outdoor xmas decorations,,,,a house on my estate has a front garden full of debris and general ***t amongst the garbage are inflatable santas and fairy lights....yesterday i noticed 3 santas had deflated like they had committed suicide

I seem to be one of the few houses in the street without any lights or decorations.

If he had enough brains to recognise numbers he wouldn't be a delivery driver.

It seems with some of the drivers around here it's just a case of dump it on a doorstep and run, so if the parcel is for the wrong person or is damaged they are back in their van and off before you even get to the door.

About 8-9 small birds have just been jumping around in the busg by the front window
It is a bit overgrown so we could see then otu of the window very clearly

we were talking about what they were - bit like small blue tits but with no blue


very pretty


I was thinking about googling to try to find out what type they are

I was going to search for "small tits" - but maybe a better string migth give me the desired results for the situation!!

We regularly get parcels for neighbour delivered to us. Sometimes in error but I also suspect on occasion said driver can't be bothered to check label etc correctly.
The wife and kids order so much stuff though from Amazon that if ever they stopped Jeff Bezos would be destitute
