Been up for a while but been a busy bee.

They have to check every now and again because some people are not honest
I know, and periodic checks of a selection of random items would be fine. We've had thst now and again, lime anyone else, nae bother.
But this is twice in a row.
Each time it was a full trolley check.
Each time the lass asked if we'd been found to have missed scanning stuff before and seemed surprised when we told them we hadn't.
Its supposed to be a convenience, but while I'm stood there glancing at my watch while actual shoplifters lesser the store unopposed (see my last missive on the subject) my life is ebbing away.
We've clearly been erroneously flagged for a full trolley check each time, so Tesco now have an SAR on its way requesting all data held against Mrs Ds name on her club card.
I agree. I always use Kavanagh's oats from Aldi - they are a genuine brand, not an Aldi knock off. The best oats I've ever found. For decades I was an advocate of standing by the stove and slowly stirring a saucepan of oats and milk. I've found 3 minutes on high in our microwave has the same result............bar the odd explosion!!!!
Last time I was in Aldi there were no Kavanagh's oats. This is very serious. I emailed Kavanagh's asking if they supply anyone else. No reply yet.
But in the same vein you must have also seen motorists stopped for speeding and whilst police are discussing it 10s of cars go flying past at obviously excessive speed. I certainly have.
I get it's a pain but shoplifting is a scourge of the highstreets. It's bad enough when it's the big stores like Tesco etc but for the small privately owned shops it's awful.
Personally I couldn't cope with hassle of doing a weekly shop etc in store. Due to where we live it's far easier and cheaper to get home delivery. The cost of delivery far offsets driving to nearest big supermarket plus there is nothing I hate more than queueing so the extremely rare occasions we have gone in store makes me vow to never do again!

For summer a 70/80 miler is not unusual. We do have a ride structure intended to cover all abilities including social to fast riders. In some circumstances I consider 72/3500 as rolling, in others hilly. Yesterday's ride included "The Trough" a great but feared climb in the Forest of Bowland - this I call hilly! Most of us who ride the C route, or "club" ride, consider a winter ride should be 50/60 miles in Z2. This builds strength and stamina for the coming season. It's very achievable on heavier winter bikes.3500ft over 72miles is what I'd class as a flat ride as well but 72 miles in winter is a lot! Is that a normal mileage for a club ride? Seems pretty excessive.
I see there's been a mass shooting on Bondi Beach.![]()
and one in the States.......I see there's been a mass shooting on Bondi Beach.![]()

Mind you, when I worked in the states I was one of several minders employed to escort midwives in and out of the less salubrious neighbourhoods of Pittsburgh and Philly following several nasty attacks on personnel working for a large medisal firm. The world is truly effed up.

Any country where midwives of all people need armed ex squaddies to allow them to do their job safely is indeed truly effed up.
I think youre missing the point.
Random checks of half a dozen items, fine. Everyone gets it. We've had it before.
Back to back full trolley checks are, from the line of questioning by two difrerent staff members on two different occasions, an indicatikn we've been caught out in the past with un scanned items and that is what triggers the full trolley check. We are being singled out and targeted for these full checks.
Ill have the evidence soon enough when the SAR is returned.
