Afternoon all . Just back from a gentle wander round Stratford upon Avon . It was cold walking round but definitely not as cold as it’s been the last couple of days. It was lovely to just enjoy the river and the town without the hoards of tourists. We even treated ourselves to coffees and a couple of bacon and egg sandwich’s which we even manage to eat without wearing them.😂
Now back home and hunkered down for the rest of the day as the weather looks like it’s closing in . 😀

Ps the corned beef hash recipe sounded really good , unfortunately I am not keen on corned beef .
Would it be possible to make it with luncheon meat instead ?

Shortish ride to swap some books at Boughton phone box library & to pick up some honey & veg at the Farm shop. Not too chilly except for the wind.
Back in time for a snooze on the settee 💤 👌

Thank you so much. You're too kind

You are my favourite Welsh woman so you are welcome.
That brought back a memory.
When i was 16 I went on a weeks cycle holiday with a mate.
Went from the Wirral to Anglesey. Slept in barns or wherever we could.
In a cafe in Carnarvon (spelling??) We 'tapped off' with 2 girls.
Mine was called Nan Blodwyn. That put me off for a start ^_^

But it wouldn't be corned beef hash then.
Luncheon meat hash doesn't have the same ring to it.

Sounds like something you could get arrested for posessing!!!

Just come back from a ride - decided to risk it

bit raining at first but damp and cold the whole way round
went to the airport and back
but half way back I did one of those "wonder where that road goes" things

no idea where I went - will have to check Strava!!

only snow/ice was on the front in one bit where the sun had not got to it

oh - and looks like the snow/ice/freezing will miss us and stay in foreign parts
i.e. Wales

sorry Welshie - say hello to the Yetties for me!

welsh dragon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Yes. It looks like we will have apocalyptic snowfall of 2 feet at least. I shall possibly disappear altogether in a snow drift of we get that much

Popped in to Waitrose in Wimborne to get a few things. Spotted some 100g bars of Lindt dark chocolate that had been reduced from over 3 quid to 88p. Put 3 bars in my basket and left the rest for others. When I got home I noticed that the Best Before date was August 2026. They'll be ideal for decadent drinking chocolate.

What does "tapped off" mean?

"Copped off" used to mean shagged where I came from in my teens.

Sorry to lower the tone!
