One thing I have noticed here in North Devon. Very few dog walkers say hello when you walk your dog . In North Wales, every dog walker acknowledge each other.

Lake District.

Pretty much all walkers (with or without mutleys) acknowledge each other.

It's the easiest way to determine locals vs tourists, many of whom are pig ignorant.

Our grown kids from London are literally aghast when we greet total strangers and are totally perplexed if, heaven forbid, we engage in conversation with unknown people.

Do you want chapter and verse? I haven't heard much of the current boycott movement which demonstrates how poorly it has been promoted. Largely they preach to the converted.

I have direct, personal abusive experience of previous methods employed by similar movements. Last time the tactics employed were deeply offensive. Fans like me who continue to attend are viewed with utter contempt.

Do you know what an Asset of Community Value is? Anfield used to be, perhaps still is, covered by one. Ewood Park has been covered by an ACV for 10 years. Guess who single-handedly obtained that?

I've been there, done it and got the T-shirt.

Hey, dont shoot the messenger  im not backing them, just letting you know he was on the TV.

I needed to check on something someone had on the WWW
links led me to their Linkedin account

SO while I was there I looked at mine

I found this description of me

"Highly skilled IT professional/Teacher/Trainer with significant experience gained delivering a variety of roles at differing levels of authority in range of delivery environments. Outgoing communicator with outstanding people skills, can be relied upon to share and pollute others with his contagious positive enthusiasm."

Bloomi' Heck - how desperate/drunk was I when I came up with the load of carp!!!

Doesn't mention "a very high level of cynicism leading to an expectation that people - especially teachers and managers who are allowed anywhere near a computer - will cock things up in amazingly unexpected ways and generally behave in ways that cannot be explained by having a brain
But a totally conflicting high level of optimism that we will sort it all out in time for the level of damage to be low no matter how moronic the users of the computers behave"

I think the original was suggested by a very good redundancy consultant I spent a lot of time with when I was made redundant some time ago. Can't think of anyone else who would come up with words like that - that I would not have totally ignored!!!

Load of rubbish. I doesn't even mention CC.

Outdoors, I should think.

I never thought of that.
That why you are where you are and I am where I am.
I must check where I am
