We have woodpeckers on the bird feeder. They don't usually like being so exposed but round here I can see them having upside down under the feeder after the fat balls, and stop sniggering at the back

The feeder is quite far away from the house but you can see the woodpecker having a go at the food

@PeteXXX @Dave7 and @Paulus offer words of wisdom. We leave the door open. I also run a service wash every 2 - 3 months. Put a cup of vinegar in the drum and run the hottest wash available. We also use mould magic gel on the door seal. It really does work.

Just googled that gel. It gets good reviews.
Is it me or is it expensive ie £12ish for a tube ?
Did you try any of the cheaper ones eg Cilit Bang at £3ish ?
I assume there is a reason the alternatives are so cheap..... buy cheap-buy twice etc.

We have a woodpecker that comes to our garden.
I was going to have beef spaghetti today, then I rememkbered Ash Wednesday - opps
so changed that to fish and chips.
I leave my washing machine door slightly open to stop mould.
