Nipped up to the Co-op for a few things. Back in and pjs now on.

They are cutting into the pavement across the road. I think the noise from stonecutters has to be up there with one of the most irritating noises there is.

Salut tout le monde.
I got back last night after having a wonderful week of eating and drinking at my brother's. I have put on 4 pounds but have no regrets as I can lose it again now.
It was very hot there, 37 to 41 degrees every day.
One morning, my brother took me to a village I had forgotten about where my grand dad and mother were born. It was also the birth place of Louis Blériot who was the first to fly over the channel in 1909. Photos included of his plane and him sitting on bench. His plane was powered by a 3 cylinder engine of 25 horse power. Brave man indeed.
That village is only 20miles from where my brother lives and his called Chaumont sur Tharonne if you ever visit the Loire valley. If I ever win a substantial sum on the Postcode lottery, I will buy a second home there.
