That's a good question!

Bruce is a paragon of good behaviour on and off the lead, and word obediant. No problems.

Geddy is largely good, following Bruce's example as he does, but is still only a puppy despite his size, and can sometimes get a bit over excited. That being the case I keep in on a harness attached to my waist so even hands-free he isn't going to jump up to say "hello" to everyone.

The only thing I have to watch is is people want to pet them. Geddy is fine, rolls on his back and laps it up, but Bruce can be protective of me and doesn't like people leaning over him, so I advise them to squat down to dog level and I approach them.

Knowing your dogs behaviour and being able to control them under all circumstances is simple basic stuff. Having said that, I see plenty of twots with no dogs misbehaving in public, spitting, openly smoking the ganga, riding illegal E scooters, etc, so it's clearly a problem of human bellendery.

I intended to mention this yesterday. Local to us, three or four miles as the crow flies, is Brindle distillery. Aside from making brilliant gin they run a great bar, put on events and over ten years has become a real community asset.

The owners decided to close last night. I applaud them for supporting their staff. This was a part of the announcement they would close for one of their potentially biggest trading nights of the year.

There are some very unpleasant people in our society. This is a great shame.

I've just realised. 10 years this month sinde I retired! Officially I ended in October, but was signed off on the ick in July.

19 years for me, 14 of which I have been in receipt of State Pension. I reckon I have broken even on my Private and Company Pension Contributions by now. But, most of all, I have been free to do as I please, well, maybe not the last 2-3 years. 😊
