Got me thinking, so I had to check, it'll be 12 years come September since I retired, and it'll be another couple before I pick up my pension.



Have to agree, and the way it's going more and more wont see retirement age. It's OK for politicians to keep raising the age of retirement but most of them have never done one days hard graft in their lives.

True but it’s also true of the majority of people on here that spent there working lives in nice comfy offices. 😂😂🙂.
( and yes I do understand a lot of them did have mental stress and strain which can just as debilitating. )

There are not many bricklayers, factory workers, shop workers etc on here . 🙂

I spent my career avoiding office working, and opted for medical retirement rather than spend my final working days in one.

Afternoon all . Just back from volunteering, Nothing too stressful today , spent the day looking/ identifying moths and eating cake .

As others have said this retirement lark isn’t bad at all.

I spent 30 plus years working out of an office. However at least half the time was spent visiting folk in inner city Dull. Not so comfy.
