Cake or ice cream? The choice is endless ...

Sadly im disqualified from applying. Theee was an incident a few years ago. I fancied some new Y fronts so reported the old ones as stolen. The police asked if I had a photo of the stolen skiddies and I sent them a picture, but the metadata showed the photo was taken some time  after the alleged theft. I was a stupid boy and its was a long time ago, but I respect their decision and just want to move on with my Y fronts.

Maybe the next Minister for Housing? Low bar there, it seems 🤷‍♂️

First decree: no Y Fronts on the washing line during school or bank holidays?

Up a bit later again today and nice and cool start.

Usual weekday muesli mix and coffee consumed and will do a tip run on the bikes later once the commuter traffic has cleared.

Back from my walk. Managed to up it to 3.5 miles. The problem is that once my loop of 2.3 miles is done I am reduced to either main roads or housing estates. I find myself "exploring" pathways and ginnels that I've never been down before, even though they are close to home. Today i 'discovered' a kids swings and basketball pitch......no idea how long that has been there.
Weather was perfect at 13° and is just warming up.

Another lovely morning, just cycled down the road for a Portuguese custard tart and a flat white.

Bonjour.
I had my six monthly blood test a few days after coming back from France and received a text from my doctor yesterday to advise me that I am in the borderline diabetic range.
Mrs G thinks it is because of the rich food and baguettes I had in France that caused it . She could be right cos I don't have sugar in my drinks.
My next blood test is in December so we shall see.

Yup - same here
it is dangerous for people to wander in and just walk around putting things in skips

Of course if you drive in a car THEN walk around putting things in skips then that is fine

Bet it comes down to insurance companies insisting

I emailed the council about this, and pointed out that they were discriminating against those without access to a vehicle. To their credit they changed the regs..

A non political question re' us oldies and the new PM.
One minute google tells us OAPs will be £x better off.......next i read we will be £y worse off.
Has there been any official statement about this ?

I have not seen any official statement, but, so far, he has removed VAT on electricity bills, and, promised to end rough sleeping, SOMEBODY will have to pay for this.

Did you ask them which legislation empowers them to insist upon proof of residency before providing a statutory service? Yes, you have to be a resident, but they have no powers to decline the service to a legitimate resident who fails or declines to produce proof of residency.

Barnet,
Just had the email. Passed my first year with a Merit. Not quite the Distinction id hoped for, although the OU thresholds are 10% higher than regular universities (83% would have been a Distinction anywhere else).

Still, a pass is a pass, so onwards and upwards! I can now relax for a few weeks before year 2 begins.

Well done @Drago 🏆
