Morning.

Happy Birthday Paulus and happy new house to Dirk.

Just minus 2 here this morning and the sun is out and I finally got a decent sleep so all is good 😊 My Garmin agrees. Resting heart rate and stress levels much lower last night and sleep score higher so hopefully the lurgy is disappearing. I’ll have a gentle wander after my cuppa.

Good morning all.
No snow, just rain, with more rain o
To follow.
The fortnightly Sainsbury's delivery is coming between 10 and 11 this morning.
A reduced meeting of the escape committee this afternoon at the Railway Bell we be had, one member is in Australia, and two others another can't make it. So just the three of us.

Oh, and by the way, its my birthday today. Finally made it to 65. I know I'm a youngster compared to some here, but I'm still feeling good, although the mind thinks it's still 25, the body sometimes reminds it that it's not.😄

Hope you move goes well @Dirk.

Enjoy your day everyone

Congrats on making it 😀

Mrs P: "Have you got a bottle of whisky for tonight,"

Me: "No."

Mrs P: "Well you better get one in case M wants a glass."

M usually drives buy occasionally his wife does in which case, yes, he will want one. M likes a good whisky! Now then. 🤔

Happy Birthday @Paulus only a year to wait for your state drinking vouchers. 👍

It would be rude to let him drink alone!!

ANyway - Happy Birthday
and happy moving day - hope it all goes well - at least your expectation are sensible - I have known people plan on moving in, decorating and having everything perfect on the first day
having a useable bed and kettle and everything under cover is normally the best expectations for day one!!

As far as snow goes - got up early - for me - i.e. about 7 and the grass and driveway was covered in snow
a few tyre tracks on the road but otherwise white

it is now just after 9 and the road and driveways are pretty much clear so it is clearly melting
as forecast by the Met Office
which also claims low chance of any more snow/sleet/hail/rain coming down but I reckon if I go out on my bike my wife will call me an idiot for getting cold air on my chest (I think she means IN my chest but there are times you need to refrain from correcting stuff!!!!)

so I might or might not!!!

do need a Tesco run for milk and should go to farm shop for fruit and veg and eggs
busy busy busy

So true - and part of living together harmoniously. ❤️

I hate it when one member of a couple constantly corrects the other.

Do you know what 'type' of whisky he likes ie peaty, sweeter etc.

Thank you @welsh dragon, and others who took one for the team and absorbed the snowfall;, before it made it this far North.

We have just a couple of centimetres, not the 20 centimetres forecast.

The scene in our back garden this morning, before I started clearing the car, so that I could pick up Daughter No4 and take her to Hospital for her pre-op appointment.

There may not be much snow, but, roads are chaos, just made it in time for her appointment with 2 minutes to spare.
