I was quite enjoying the thread re women cycling in the dark, but sadly the usual culprit has managed to get it shut down as usual :sad:

In more interesting news I've had a letter from HMRC to tell me I will pay tax next year as my State Pension will be above the Tax Free Allowance.

I have to pay £14.60. I suspect the letter, receiving and processing the payment will cost more than £14.60.

Raises a question though. Will I have to submit a tax return?

For the first time since I retired I have got a tax code and will have to pay tax on my small, £67 a month, pension, the pension people will see to it under PAYE, but I suspect the cost of collecting it will be more than the tax they'll be collecting.
