Chatting with my lad about what needs doing in the bedroom which is being turned into an office. #3 son is bemoaning the lack of sockets and I understand why. I have had to point out when the house was built no one had even conceived the idea of broadband, WiFi, laptops, WFH etc.

Yes, they learn quickly, about the tech. But, I took my two grandsons to Beamish Museum. They have a coal mine exhibit, later, we went to an exhibit of a miners cottage, complete with coal fire. The idea of burning “stones” (as they thought of the coal), really puzzled them.

Still recovering from an ear infection and slightly wobbly and uncoordinated as a result, so another day with no ride. About to walk Bruce. Then it's a Q day of house tidying and instrument practice.

Someone is bound to ask so let's get it done with. I suffered a bit of a breakdown last year and just suddenly snapped, behaving increasingly irrationally until the wonderful Mrs D got a grip and set me on the road to sanity. I'm fine now and would rather not talk about it. Suffice to say I am gladdened beyond belief to be back here with my many friends, and grateful to the long suffering CC staff for being willing to put up with me again.

That is all.

I finally managed to go for a ride, only 15 kms but I am happy. Ten minutes after I got back................. it rained. I also timed it to be back in time for the rugby so, a good day for me. Now waiting for the last game of the 6 nations to start.

For someone who was always a soccer enthusiast I can’t be arsed with soccer.I really enjoy the rugby .No prima donas arguing every decision the ref makes
