Just realised the schools are off for 2 weeks from today. The afternoon walk might be busier than it would normally be during the week, but it's too nice not to get back out.

Thought it was very quiet round here .No cars parked right up to road junctions or across peoples drives

Just now having my lunch,Toast with smooth Peanut Butter and a good dollop of strawberry jam followed by a tangerine 😜😜😜

The sun has come out now, I'll look again to see if it's dry in a couple of hours.

We couldn't be bothered to cook today, so we went to Mach and got pie and chips. Lots of people in town, probably pesky tourists

The sun has come out now, I'll look again to see if it's dry in a couple of hours.

It had dried enough, so it got a cut, not short, but enough to even it out.

RIght - people are coming tomorrow to start the marathon bathroom upgrade
plus a few bits tarting up the utility room

Naturally this involves a proper clean of all the toilets as the men will be using them
and then ripping them out and chucking them in the skip

but they have to be clean

I could moan about my wife saying this needs to be done
which I did
but to be honest I would have done it anyway if I had still been living here on my own!!
(I blame my Mum - brought me up too well!!!)


The upgrade is a bit of a marathon because the bathrooms (bathroom, en-suite and downstairs loo) were second on the list to be sorted out when I moved in 9 years ago and we are only just getting round to sorting it out!
It will take the whole of April!!

It's 3.45 and I'm awake. In four hours I have to collect the small one. Must try for more sleep.

Just realised I haven't checked in for a couple of days. The weekend with small person was fun. She arrived at 11.00am Saturday and left at 7.00pm Sunday. Mr and Mrs P were utterly exhausted.

Beautiful sunny day in Lancashire yesterday, the best of 2023. Fantastic bike ride as we enjoyed the cold but brilliant sunshine. Pace was upped quite a bit and I gained a notable PB on Hunter's, a decent local climb, which was a real surprise as it felt slow.

We will see how today pans out. Mrs P will take the small one swimming around 10.00........I may snooze.........
