A grandson asked his grandpa one question while on the way back from school.
What is the difference between 'Wife' and 'Girlfriend' ?
Grandpa thought for a minute and Simplified the explanation like this:
Listen Son :
*Wife* is like a *TV*
and
*Girlfriend* is like a *MOBILE*
At home you *watch* TV, but when you go out you *take* your MOBILE .
Sometimes you *enjoy* TV, but most of the time, you *play* with your MOBILE.
TV is (as good as) *free* for life , but for the MOBILE, if you don't *pay*, the services will be *terminated*.
TV is *big , bulky* and most of the time *old*, but the MOBILE is *cute, slim, curvy, replaceable* and *portable*.
Operational costs for TV is often *acceptable*, but for the MOBILE, it is often *high* and *demanding*.
TV has a *remote*, but MOBILE *doesn't*.
Most importantly, MOBILE is a *two-way communication* (you talk and listen), but with the TV, you *MUST only listen* (whether you want to or not) !
Last but not least !!!
Yet TVs are superior because TVs don't have *viruses* , but MOBILES often *do*.
And mobiles can be easily *hacked* or *stolen* .

Yesterday went to Waitrose for some glazed cherries as Sainsburys at Lordshill does not sell them any more.
Today I went to Sainsburys as I had a £30 voucher to spend there and bought 2-3 weeks shopping.
Before you ask about the cherries I have found a reduced sugar mince meat recipe, I don't know how it's going to work out as the fruit and cherries have sugar, but I'll give it a go.

We've spent most of the afternoon at a local shopping area, not the best way to spend a sunny afternoon but it got my Good Lady out the house and into the sunshine, we're waiting for the Bus on Demand service to put the wheelchair assessment on record then we can get to a few more places. We came back with a new iron so I can finish off the ironing now.

Changed jobs, now valeting cars, which used to be a bit of an hobby in anycase, and it's only on Thursday and Friday. Will see how I feel about it next year when I reach 55, but think I might stick at it for a few years. Need the 2 days recovery 😝

No. Surprising what people do leave in their cars though when they leave them for repair.

Pity, the amounts some don't realise they have laying around in the car. The worst one's always seem to be those who search for change for a parking meter.
