Morning all :hello:

It's MrsD's birthday today and it's Fish Friday. Yay!
I'm taking her out at lunchtime and picking up our best mates on the way. We shall be dining at the Bottom Ship, Porlock Weir and having a cream tea for pudding at the Harbour Cafe later.
Pity it's not as sunny as yesterday but, hey ho.

Perhaps not a bad idea to give it another week . When I had an attack of whatever it is ailing some of us.I didn’t feel to bad after about five days and started to do more physical activity’s gardening etc . Was a bit of a mistake.Set me back another seven days

Take care.

Yes, I have a couple of friends who found the same. When I started to ride again after Covid I quickly realised it had hit me harder than I thought. I don't think my recovery was set back but I certainly hadn't recovered fully though I thought I had.

Good Morning from a beautiful sunny Lancashire, not a cloud in the sky or breath of wind. It is though 8⁰, feels chilly, and I'm going through the traumatic decision over which cycle jersey to wear. Decisions! Meeting two buddies at 9.30 for an easy ride. I'm going to set off at 8.30 as I need to bed in new pads on the way to the meet point. It's going to be easy as tomorrow the three of us plan to join the Club Ride and may get our legs ripped off!

What else? Happy Birthday @Dirk to Mrs Dirk. Well you all know I am mechanically very talented. I have a brilliant aptitude for such things.   Very proud to have fixed the sticking on/off trigger on my strimmer yesterday....................the downside of course is this afternoon I will have to strim. Energy bill arrived in my Inbox this morning. I'll wait till G&T time before I open that email.

Right time to make a clothing decision. :hello:

Stay safe and as I always say Behave...................and if you can't don't get caught.......^_^

Think I'll scrap my plans for today and have a Q day at home. Not feeling right at all.

From my Facebook memories this morning, Lol!

An elderly man lay dying in his bed. While suffering agonies on his way to his final moment, he suddenly smells the aroma of his favourite scones wafting up the stairs.
He gathered his remaining strength, and lifted himself from the bed. Leaning on the wall, he slowly made his way out of the bedroom, gripping the wall, he slowly makes it to the kitchen.
There, piled on a tray are his favourite scones.
Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of love from his devoted wife of sixty years, seeing to it that he left this world a happy man?
Mustering one great final effort, he threw himself towards the table, landing on his knees in rumpled posture.
His aged and withered hand trembled towards a scone at the edge of the table, when it was suddenly smacked by his wife with a wooden spoon……
‘F*** off’ she said, ‘they're for the funeral

Not been up long as we had an unintended late night and didn't get asleep until 4am-ish.

Trying to think what to do with the day - sunny out but we are due rain.

Not much enthusiasm to do anything tbh - will probably end up dossing and reading our Kindles or talking rollocks and putting the world to rights. ^_^

Some of our friends are spending their retirement ploughing through to do and activity lists which is fine if it works for them - we have taken a different approach, basically; just let the days come and flow and if we want to do stuff we will and if we don't we will just doss and chill.
