so - up at about 8:30 and breakfast all done plus coffee

also managed to sweep round the utility room and downstairs loo

alter that I decided to be brave and take SWMBO's laptop apart and see what is wrong
she 'went mad' last night because her mouse stopped working
apparently this has happened a lot recently - but she only mentioned it once about a week ago and I was supposed to know it had happened 'loads of time' since
after a while she admitted she was 'a bit nangy'

looked like the usb port are rather loose - probably due to

er

err

lets say 'enthusiastic' use

anyway - I got her sorted witha wireless mouse that seemed tighter

this morning I took it apart (do they REALLY need that many screws) and tightened the usb ports upa bit
then cleaned out the fan that looks like someone had eaten a bag of chips on it before a moiunting down had a lie down on it

hopefully she will now stop muttering about taking it to the computer shop up the road
after all - I did used to fix the damn things for a living!!!!

Daves been for another bimble, 24 miles on my Brinklow loop, my Good ladies carer was early this morning so took the opportunity after checking she was happy, a lovely bright fresh morning spoilt slightly by a cold strong breeze, I'm feeling more comfortable and not so tired this week though I did start to run out of legs as I rode past Coombe Abbey, something that lead to an embarrassingly low average speed, bikes now running lovely again after I sorted out the tight wheel bearing last week. But I'm unimpressed, I've been on the deck this morning, nothing serious, no damage to me or the bike, first time thats happened since 2015, slight rise at the end of Shilton lane and I left it too late to drop off the outer ring onto the inner, bike sucked its chain then unshipped it, I couldn't unclip fast enough and rolled into the scenery still attached to the bike. Despite the tumble I've had an enjoyable ride this morning.

I'm waiting on my first one. I've had a few near misses, but touch wood, with the pedal release at the loosest setting have avoided it so far.

Hope you don't feel anything later. Sometimes the next day you realise you've bashed something or overstretched a muscle.

Does it work now?

Always worked fine for me

but then I am a computer technician (OK I was a teacher but who else would be doing it???) so that was often the problem

as well as the old "Its been doing this for ages" and "why haven't you fixed it yet"

sometimes I think she should have been a teacher (if you check on the school IT tech sites this is not always a compliment!!!!)

Don't worry about speed, I'm not.

Just got back from a ride out to Kentmere church.

21.3 miles, 1036' climbing @11.3 mph.

I used to do around 14.5 mph for this route. Cest la vie. Fitness will return, only my 3rd ride after nearly 18 months off the bike. Tbh I'm not much fussed - getting out is the main thing as ever.

Glad you weren't seriously hurt today!

The church plus trusty steed:

She may be aware of you visiting and talking to her, keep visiting and keep talking to her. :hugs:

I will Dave. Difficult as when I prattle on about our life....way back to 1966 its me that ends up blubbing. But I know she would do that and more for me.

Thats why I have not been on here much as I know I sound depressing.
APART FROM MY BREAD WHICH IS LOOKING VERY NICE 😀
