Morning. A better sleep last night thank goodness. Still up early as usual. I’ll hopefully get a wander while it’s still reasonably cool. Another hot day to come.

Well, up at 0430 today. I must break this cycle. Sitting up to watch tonight's football might help.
Right.....time to 'fess up.
As you will know, I struggle to walk some days. So, yesterday, I had to go into town (to the bank).....to prove MrsDs death.....so went by taxi (just in case).
So got there waaay to early and sat for 45 minutes.
Got in and handed over my foolscap envelope with EVERYTHING in.
And here is my confession.
Oh bugger.....I had not taken the main thing I needed.....the death certificate!!!.
Upshot is, I have to do it all again today 😒.
No point moaning, my fault. My excuse.....my head is in a shed.
Episode 2 to follow 🙂.

Barnet,
Good morning all.
Another hot day in France, but today we return to the UK.
We are on the 17.00 train from the Gare Du Nord to St Pancras.
MrsP wants a boat ride on the Seine so we will get off the RER(commuter) train service from Versailles at some point by the river. Possibly a light lunch as well.

Dave, we all forget things at the best of times let alone during a time of grieving. Very understandable. :hugs:

It's another beautiful day. I have odds and ends to attend to and then I'll head up to the allotment to do some weeding before it gets too hot. #1 task was to fix the fingerprint recognition on my phone. Seems OK now. ✅ Now as fellow cyclists you will appreciate the importance of task #2 the continuing search for the perfect flapjack recipe. Criteria: must not fall apart in the pocket, firm enough to bite, not pick up a crumbly mess, tasty, includes nuts and sultanas. Well today's effort is looking hopeful ❓

I suppose I should add a confession. Had a tricky 60 minutes on Wednesday getting ready for my ride. While refilling the kitchen oil bottle I spilt some, very messy and just before I needed to get my kit on. Took ages to clean up and I was now late............................speeding along on my trusty steed I looked down, something was wrong.....................it's OK I was wearing my bibs...................thinks to self "surely the pad is meant to be on the inside" :shy::shy: Fortunately there is a bus shelter on my route to the meet point.

I do have a buddy who actually turned up at the meet point with his bibs inside out
