I passed my test in a Ford Anglia. Lovely car in its time.

I had the 1200 deluxe version, duck egg green was the colour. I passed my test in it.
I resprayed it green jade metallic, with a diamond white roof and side stripes.
Here it is along with my Dads 1100 Escort.

My first car was a Ford Anglia 100E (£35), I then graduated to a Ford Anglia 105E. ;)

Morning all.
Rain woke me approx 0300.... it was lashing down.
TBH I was suffering from the galloping trots throughout the night so was drifting in and out all night.
My Bro and SiL are visiting (from the Wirral) at 1200. They have been really supportive since Sue was ill......they are even bringing lunch 🙂.

I passed my test in a Mini.

Think I took mine in an Austin 1100. I certainly drove one a lot when I was learning. Excellent car from what I recall.

Good morning from Center Parcs, Whinfell Forest. Clouding over now and we are forecast for rain, there are plenty of opportunities to spend a vast amount of money indoors.

Never been to CP before and I'm very impressed. The accommodation is very spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet as is the whole site. Buildings etc. are carefully designed to fit with the environment. Cars are only permitted on site Mondays and Fridays, 05.00 - 10.00 and 16.00 - 22.00 for arrival and departure. It makes for a great safe space for kids to run, walk, cycle, adventure etc. I completely get why families come.

I expected activities to be eye-wateringly expensive, they are, and accept that. My only criticism is the length of an activity. Canoe hire for 30 minutes is pretty pointless. If we had come as a young family it would have been bikes, walks, footie etc. with kids running everywhere plus one paid activity everyday.

When the grandchildren are a bit older I can see this making a great family holiday.

Off for a walk now.

Morning all.

Woken up in that North Wales to rain, but still warm.
Angela bought an umbrella lla to clip onto a seat so now sat under it drinking my coffee 👍

Lots of aches and pains after too much pointing and other general mortaring yesterday, followed by moving our new bathroom ingredients into the music room, so today will be a day of naproxen and ibuprofen 👎
