Hello everyone.

Missed my early start today.
My zwift ride yesterday aggravated my neck problems, so I spent the majority of yesterday drugged up, with ice packs on my head, until I gave up and went to bed at 7pm, and didn't wake up properly until late morning.
Feeling much better now, but bunged up due to the codeine 😭🤣

Hopefully. I'll get a few days without a messed up back, or neck, or any other bit falling apart

Busy afternoon, loaded the car this morning, got down the tip just before the allotted time and got it all unloaded, I'll need to clean the car now, then it was across to my doctors to book an appointment then across to the pharmacy at my Good Ladies doctors to chase up a prescription, they normally deliver on a Wednesday but this one had only arrived at the pharmacy from the doctor this afternoon and the Lady had run out of one of her tablets so I picked up that one and left the rest for delivery, whilst I was there I got a message from my Good Lady, "I need the commode", so it was a dash home and I just made it before we had a puddle.

One of today's bits and pieces jobs was the washing machine. For a while it's been showing an E18 error code, not every wash but some. E18 is a blocked drain hose or more likely pump filter. For weeks getting the filter unscrewed has defeated me......it would only turn half a revolution instead of unscrewing.

Faced with a £100 call out charge from the local washing machine repair shop I was determined to clean the filter. After much sweating, grunting, brute force and a pair of curved jaw pliers attached in precisely the right spot I freed it.

I have removed FIVE (5) Kirby Grips from the filter along with a lot of fluff. The grips were preventing the filter from unscrewing.

I am bald. I don't use hair grips..........EVER!!!!!

Running a cycle now. I expect the filter to need cleaning again after the cycle.

Overlaid until 11am.

Feeling a bit off colour, no idea why.

Cut front lawns, refixed number plate on car (started to come off in the heat that we have had) spent the pm trying to sort AirBnB accomodation for breaks to York and Oxford - this is blooming hard work.

Off to Whitley Bay in a couple of weeks for some coastal walking and Newcastle nightlife.

Quite night tonight as I am not up to much on the fun & loving front!

Have a good evening all.

I only cut the grass on my allotment twice a year. Alive with insects. Love it.

Going to bed now which is about normal for us.

Not an overly exciting evening - spent watching loads of TdF and climbing stuff on YouTube and well over 2 hours sorting out some complicated financial transactions on our all-singing all-dancing spreadsheet (workbook really) to take maximum advantage of interest rate rises. It was a lot more complex than it sounds tbh but we are both happy with the outcome.

Yawn!
