Forgot that I was supposed to collect Mrs D's prescription. Nimtim3 to hop on the bike, so dashed out in the car in order to be home in time to meet Mini D feom school at the bus stop.

Had a Dacia Ruster up my arriss the whole way - clearly they're too dense to understand the "The Closer You Get The Slower I Go" sticker in my rear window.

Why on earth would anyone buy a Dacia if they're ever likely to be in a hurry?

I have a Dacia Stepway Now twelve months old and has never missed a beat ok the earlier Dacias were a bit yucky but so we’re Skodas

It’s comfortable .Equipment level is great .Would I buy another? Definitely

They’re basically rebadged Renaults which isn’t that far from Drago’s Peugeot. Some of the newer models really look quite good. Certainly wouldn’t turn one down.

That's fine if youre happy, but you're missing the point of my gripe - I wasnt moaning anout Dacias. I was complaining that folk buy a Dacia because they want inexpensive, not because they want to race round the landscape like Roger Ramjet on acid. You want to go fast then get a fast car - I don't think the driver had got the memo.

They very far removed from my Peugeot as it goes, in sophistication, economy, running costs, safety, ride and finish. Having looked at three Dacias, each of less than a year old and each with faults (one very significantly faulty with the rear footwells both full of water), I decided the 29,000 mile Pug was the much better made, better driving, less expensive to run option.

If other people are happy to overlook all that in pursuit of cheap then all power to them, but I'm not that sort of buyer.

I'm happy to bimble about well within rhe speed limit. I got better things to spend money on than tyres, fuel and brakes!

TBH a cheap and cheerful Dacia would have done me, my car mainly gets used a dog van, but one full of water, one where the nearside speakers weren't working, and one with some dicey shut lines (no evidence it had been bent and painted, I checked carefully, it was just built that way) had me scurrying elsewhere. Shame, because as I only really need a dog van I'm pretty undemanding and could have put up with most everything else.

T'was a Stepway that had the water feature I saw. Made in Morocco, a country famed for the prowess of its engineers.

Good morning all, took the dog out to another of the fields and woods that we go to, and quite a few branches have been broken off by the wind over the weekend.
The rotary washing line has snapped, it's still usable for the moment, but is only about 4 feet off the ground .
I cut the grass yesterday afternoon, and the mower died on me. The switch kept cutting in and out the got quite hot and stopped working altogether. I spent some time trying to find a replacement switch, but it seems Qualcast have stopped making that particular one.
I'm waiting for No.3 to come along.

Other than that, the sun is shining for the time being, so life is sweet.
Make and model of the mower, age if known.
