The turf boys did a really neat job.

Decided with Mrs D we'll go through the insurers for the damage to her Mini. The guy isn't happy as he wanted his mates who has a bodyshop to do it, but it's only a year old so I want it to go to a BMW approved repairer to maintain the warranty.

Also being electric there's the potential (see what I did there?) that things could get gnarly if the damage is more extensive than thought.

And finally Mrs D will need a loaner while hers is off the road and insurers are good at stiffing each other over to pay for that.

Meanwhile I'm sat here still waiting for the man from Del Monte to mend the 2008.

Yes.... imo you did well to stand firm re the repair. Too risky the other way.

We are due heavy rain all day.
My son and DiL are staying for a few days, Arriving lunch time......I am "buying" lunch from the local pie shop. It's called 'To Pie For' and the quality is excellent.

It raining heavily outside, and looks like it is in for the day.
As the weather is bad MrsP has decided that we are going to the Barbican centre in London to visit the conservatory, a kind of large scale green house with views across the city, although probably not today. It's inside anyway.

I have risen!

Knackered, RAC didn't recover me until gone 3am. I think it might have been someone's exhaust laying in the road that I hit and that has damaged the SCR system, part of the cat where the adblue does its magic. Although it's belching out smoke/ steam I now know it is at least driveable, so Monday looks like a mad 4 mile dash to a decent local garage for them to quote me. If its too spendy the insurers can have the bill.

Very enjoyable day yesterday. Met up with mates for lunch. Mooched around the shops in Wells and went to the carnival in the evening. As always, there were some quite spectacular floats.
Unfortunately, the photos don't capture the huge sound systems that vibrate yer innards.
