Morning all
Yay! Tis Carnival Day in Wells.
B&B is very nice and a 5 minute walk from Wells cathedral.
Today we shall be meeting up with our mates from Winscombe and having lunch in the Kings Head. Back to the digs after for a nap and then off out to watch the carnival procession at 7pm.
Still no sign of @dave r ?
I have a feeling that something serious may have happened.
I hope not.I’ve just shown mrs p how to acces my account just in case something happens to me.

Day not going to plan so far
Decided to go out for a ride this morning
got enthusiasism working - unusually - and got coat, shoes, gloves all sorted
got bike out and
rear flat!
not unexpected really - it was soft yesterday when I went out but managed to force some air in with my full weight on the track pump every stroke
I suspect that the tube sealant has migtated to the area around the valve and solidified to some extent
and now has created a slow leak
managed to get enough air in to go out and get some new sealant
which included a weird thing
Go to Halfords and when I was locking up my bike I noticed there was a front wheel just leaning againts a bollard outside the shop
looks like standard 700C type - disk brake - decent tyre
anyway - left it and went in
on my way out the wheel was still there so I wetn back and mentioned it to the person at the till
apparently some bloke who "seemed off his head" had come in earlier and said "I'll leave this wheel outside for you"
then left
so they have no idea what it is doing there!
I presume he is "on something" - saw a wheel randomly lying around and thought that taking it to Halfords woyukld be a good idea because they like bikes!
anyway - looked OK - flat but tyre was good - slight trace of a small pink graphics and some surface corrosion on the axle - but OK
anyway - weird!
