Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Why can't they just make printers any more? Other than the cheap end of the scale, they're all multifunction machines. Scanner, copier and printer. I've already got decent scanners, why can't I just buy a printer and nothing else.

I don't think it matters what printer you buy, they all have a shelf life of around 18 months it seems. They don't make the money from the printers themselves, the money is made from the inks so they don't care about the printers or the quality.

Yes.....I had a vision of Drago being arrested for peeping through neighbours windows.

They won't see him.....he'll be in full camouflage.

Just toying with the idea of not bothering renewing my Amazon Prime when it's due. I'm not finding it very good value now. Lot's of the stuff they sell are cheap Chinese rubbish and branded names are no cheaper than you can get elsewhere so even the free next day delivery is barely worth it, and as for their movies, they don't seem to update them much and more and more now have ads. I believe they are thinking about levying an extra charge if you want ads removed. No thanks.

Anyway........yesterday's hospital ' consultation' gave some positive news.
My last scans etc in April showed up 2 worrying things.
1. I had lost 3 1/2 stone (mainly muscle mass).
2. My liver count was waaaay to high.
Yesterday's results showed
1. I have put 1.1 stone back on.
2. I have reduced my 'liver count' by 75% which pleased the consultant.

My daughter, as next of kin, was with me and it was quite emotional as we feared the worst and she had witnessed her Mum passing away in June so was dreading the worst.

Onward and upwards then.

I'm fed up waiting on my Wattbike. There was a delay in shipping. Silly me thought being a UK firm they made them here, but nope they are designed here and no doubt prepared and then shipped but they are actually manufactured in Taiwan like so much cycling stuff now and there was a container shipment delay. Hoping I hear something by the end of the week.

My last printer I bought Canon was on Nov 2017 and my Epson is older that that and both are still going

Sad to say, but I think you're right. Even contacting the manufacturers asking them about the life of a printer doesn't get a sensible answer.
I've one in the attic, worn out after less than two weeks use. A replacement for the first one they swapped it for, also worn out. Their claim of replacing a product if damaged, without question was left wanting.
