My last printer I bought Canon was on Nov 2017 and my Epson is older that that and both are still going
I've a Canon BJC-6500, cost £2 as an unsold item at an auction over 20 years ago. They, Canon, renumbered the ink cartridges and started using them on other, newer printers. I don't know their me numbers.

A ream of paper was/is a standard print run.

Good morning all. Blinking blumin' flipping cold this morning at -3°. (And that is very cold).
I 'think' I am going for a lunchtime drink with my neighbour/friend. We are thinking of trying my old golf club as I have not been there since Covid hit me nearly 4 years ago. Its a nice bar/lounge area and they used to do good food at very reasonable prices.

Well, she does have a pond, in which to hide the bodies 😊

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Wow. My hands are freezing. I had to go out and clean the outside of the windows as a dam Robin keeps throwing itself at the windows and pecking the glass. As well as a mess all over the windowsills , I could see peck marks all over the glass. Stupid bird. :laugh:

Another DIY job done. Once a copper, always a copper.

It will go nicely with the full CCTV with movement alert, and plastic spikes over the side gate. Any light fingered toe rags will like move on to easier pickings.

I put one of those in after my bike was nicked from the garage. It's an additional pain when you want to get in but worth the hassle.

I joined neighbourhood watch yesterday, and the guy that runs it as a copper I know well. He's a year or two to go until retirement, and while I was never his skipper he often worked for me as his team would overlap mine by a couple of hours in the afternoon. Decent guy.

Anyway, yeah, a minor pain but I've seen enough burglaries to know two things;

1. Buying all the gear is too late after Johnny Scumbag has broken in and stolen the batteries from the wifes sex toys, and...

2. In 49% of domestic burglaries access is gained via insecure doors or windows. If people simply used what was already there the burglary rate would be slashed in half.

Anyway, it's not foolproof but they'll trip the movement sensors on my cameras and my phone will ping wherever I may be before theyve even reached the house or garage, and the target hardening will slow them down to give me time to rush home from the shops to give the scumbags a good kicking, I mean detain them using reasonable force to await the arrival of the lawful authorities.
