I did think of that as well. I was hoping it wouldn't be the case. I was hoping that I can keep my car for another 3 years, bu then I will be 70 and might have enough saved for an even better car that will in all probability be my last one due to the new electric only cars. Can't see it happening though for various reasons but we shall see. We'll have to play it by ear I daresay. ๐Ÿ˜†

Interesting problem. I fancy a hybrid but I am 76 this month, do little mileage and my present petrol car runs well so I can't justify it.

Good morning. Blowing a gale with squally showers.....all night. Horrid sleep. I have a protest to go to so need to get a shift on. Latest update. The Chief Executive of the ICB has agreed to meet 20 patients from the practice at 9.00am for an hour. The official business meeting delayed till 10.00.

@Exlaser2 what is an ICL car?

ICL.
Glad you asked that.

Good morning folks,
Itโ€™s my birthday today ๐ŸŽ‚. Not my birthday birthday, thatโ€™s not till May, but my running birthday ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ
It was 42 years ago today that I threw my packet of Players Gold Leaf in the bin and headed out the door to try that jogging malarkey.
In the intervening years Iโ€™ve made some good friends, met and married Mrs Tenkaykev, and run more than 100 marathons plus some very silly distances.
Itโ€™s also enabled me to drink copious amounts of beer while maintaining a reasonable weight and almost certainly contributed to my current presence on planet earth despite being several years past my expected expiry date ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿบ
Have a lovely day folks, Iโ€™m certainly planning to ๐Ÿ‘โ˜€๏ธโ˜˜๏ธ

I've had several Suzuki's over the years. Very good cars - but they do seem prone to corrosion.... and once they fail an MOT on major corrosion it's really not worth chasing what will be a never ending series of failed MOTs and expensive repairs.
Personally, I'd put the 2k towards another vehicle.

Agree with Dirk , old small Suzukis are generally not known for their longevity , they rust a fair bit , it will be something else next year probably . Unless its very clean underneath everywhere else
