Good morning folks, our eldest is here for Mothers day, arrived about nine last night, I'll take him to the station about six tonight, carer was early the is morning, about quarter past seven.

Morning all , I seem to be late to this party today, lots of early birds about today .
Feeling a little jaded this morning , I forgot I can’t manage having a social drink in the afternoon and a drink in the evening as well anymore 😂. Will be ok once I am up and about , which I will have to be, if I want to go sailing this morning .
Have a great day folks.( I’m just hoping to get though the day , as mrs exlaser has a irrational dislike of mother day ).

I have a feeling that I know what we are eating today (and tomorrow).
Our son sent his Mum a hamper for mothers day......it weighs a lot and is from the Cornish Tea Company.
So, pasties, cream teas etc. As I say it is very heavy.....I am frightened of opening it.

Change of plan, we'll now be going to the pub for Mothers day lunch. It's actually fully booked but the landlord is a mate - the drummist in our band - and he's said he'd sort us out somehow.
This is good, because I get my Guinness free there - he orders X nu ber of barrels of fizzy yellow rubbish and gets the Guinness barrel for free, so as a fellow chum he passes this good fortune on to me while every other loser has to pay for theirs.
As an aside, he's looking at doing brunches for early morni g runners and cyclists. There's a lot or the latter round here as the roads are fairly Q and Salcey Forest very close by, so maybe I could meet up with @PeteXXX when he gets this going.

Not a good weekend for me/us. On Friday, Daughter No4 had to go into hospital for an operation (ovarian Cysts). She had to be there for 07:15am, so, an early start for Dad's Taxi.
Then, later in the day, whilst doing some minor gardening, in unsuitable shoes, I stepped on a sharp stone and hurt my heel.
I managed to make it to the pub, with "the boys" on Friday evening, but, by Saturday, I could not weight bear on my left foot. By lunch time Saturday, Mrs @BoldonLad's "caring side" had been used up, "looking after me".
Daughter No4's operation went well, except, they had to remove Ovaries, as well as cysts, which did not please her.
Daughter No4 is now due to be discharged, today, but, I can only hobble about, and, cannot drive, so, Daughter No1 is stepping into the breech and doing the taxi job.
